5. nap
Thursday was one of my favorite days of the 1 week long vacation. We woke up, like almost everyday, around 7 a.m. got ready and went downstairs to eat some breakfast. Luckily the accommodation had a pretty good variety of cold cuts, cheeses, vegetables and various hot dishes as well. After breakfast we still had time, to get ready for the day, during this time we brushed our teeth and dressed up nicely. Our first destination was the Hungarian faculty of the Helsinki University. Here we met some students, who either have hungarian relatives or they are just interested in the language so they started studying it at the university. At the start of the program some of us presented the english presentations they made at home about Budapest, the Hungarian culture and our school. After these we sat down in groups with the Finnish students and chatted about why they chose this language and how they feel about it, and they also taught us a couple of words in Finnish. After the visit we traveled an hour to arrive to the Finnish-Hungarian embassy where we got the chance to meet with the ambassador and the council. They are both friendly and really intelligent people so we were lucky that we had an opportunity to talk to them about every little segment of their sought after positions there my friend Peter presented yet another presentation about our school in Hungarian which the ambassador was fond of. After the meeting we made some group photos and admired the "Hungarian seaside". Since we still had some time after all of these we got on a ferry and visited an adorable little island about 30 minutes away from the Helsinki port. There we learnt some things about the city's history and after, we went back to the hostel to eat dinner and to get some rest after such a long and interesting day.
