A hazautazás napja

2024.03.15

This morning was sadder than I could have imagined. I packed up the rest of my stuff and went down to have my last breakfast with Oliver's family. It was delicious as usual. At 7:30, Oliver's dad drove us to the Malov station and dropped us off. We met up with the rest of the group and talked about our amazing experience we had over the last few days. I chatted with the Danish girls about their exchange and that they are probably going to come here to Budapest, which I am beyond excited for. As we were checking if we had everything for our travel, Eszter noticed that she doesn't have her passport and ID card with her. This caused a little bit of panic in everybody, but we quickly started to look for the little purple bag. We checked everywhere but could not find it. We told Miss about this problem, and she helped us look for it. As we noticed that we could not find it, our teacher called the vice principal and told him the issue we have faced. I called my mom, and she told me to call the insurance company. As she got off the phone with the vice principal, she called the company. They said that there is only a slight chance that she could fly today. We hopped on to the train towards the airport. Miss called our parents and told them that us 4 might have to fly alone. Luckily, the lady at the registration desk allowed Eszter to fly, (which was a miracle). After the security check, we went to our gate and boarded our plane. The flight was smooth and went by quickly. All in all, this day was an exciting day for all of us.
